Hi, I’m Morgan! I’m an experienced, data-driven name consultant. I help parents find the perfect name for their child and assist adults in finding new first or last names for themselves. With a passion for names and a keen eye for detail, I ensure that every name recommendation is unique and meaningful.
I work with name consultation clients to assess their tastes and preferences and identify patterns in the names they’re already gravitating toward to curate recommendations thoughtfully.
I have a special interest in data analysis, for parents who want names that won’t be skyrocketing in popularity, or even entering the top 1,000 in the next data, I’m able to provide models to predict what a name might do over the coming years*.
My interest in names began with my mom running a daycare when I was very young. I’d eagerly anticipate her taking on new babies and offer my two cents to expecting parents picking up older siblings. The summer I turned 12, I found a kitten in the yard. I discovered the baby name forum on Yahoo Answers while trying to name my new kitty. (I named her Jinx!) As I got older, I graduated from Yahoo to Name Nerds on Reddit.
In 2021, I started creating baby name content on TikTok, sharing the names I’d find in my collection of vintage yearbooks. It was then that I realized there was a demand for name consultants. I decided to take the plunge and began offering my services as a name consultant.
There are a multitude of reasons that an expecting parent might decide that they want to hire a name consultant:
They need a name that can work in multiple languages so family around the world can say their baby’s name.
They’re having trouble meeting in the middle with their partner and finding a name that they’re both excited about.
They have a career in education and have so many strong associations with so many on-trend names that it’s hard to imagine any of those names on their baby.
They’ve been through the top 1000 list top to bottom several times over and none of the names feel like the name.
Expecting is such a special and exciting time – some parents just hire name consultants as am extra fun thing to do while waiting to meet their baby.
