Thanksgiving in Paradise: OOTD

For all of my readers in the United States – Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that you’re able to spend today with good friends, good family and good feelings! For my non-American readers, Happy Thursday! I hope your week is treating you right, and that your weekend treats you even better!

I’ve always been a huge fan of Thanksgiving – gathering around with all of my cousins (and there are a lot of us!) reminiscing and telling stories is one of my favorite things, ever. Except this year my family decided to mix it up and spend Thanksgiving in Florida, just the four of us. It was definitely a change of pace compared to the chaos of our usual Thanksigivings, but it’s been a great few days so far!

I’ll have an entire travel post up sometime next week, but in the mean time I just thought I could share my Thanksgiving outfit with all of you! In the past Thanksgiving has consisted of big sweaters and leggings, but in Paradise I needed to switch things up a bit! Instead I’m wearing a super cute two piece dress from Boohoo!

Now I’ve never actually worn anything like this, but Taylor Swift gave me some major inspo as queen of the two piece dresses. I came to the conclusion that as a tall girl, it’s actually a sort of perfect design because I never have to worry about a too short skirt again.

After a day of playing in the sun, my family is headed to my dad’s buddy’s tonight for Thanksgiving, so instead of the usual feast for 30, there will be food for 5, so I don’t have to worry about the usual Thanksgiving Day bloat making this a safe choice for today.

I would love to hear how you are all spending your Thanksgivings! Are you mixing it up like my family did, or sticking to old traditions? Let me know in the comments below!

  • You’re giving TSwift a run for her money! Hope your week in paradise is as good as it looks, and happy Thanksgiving!

Here in Australia, we don’t do Thanksgiving but I’m always drooling over the amazing food that’s on Instagram! And Boohoo is probably my favourite clothing store ever! They have such a huge variety, they’re cheap and they cater to a lot of women! xx

    • Haha yes, Thanksgiving definitely brings some great food! This is probably a silly question, but does Australia have any interesting holidays that are unique to you? It’s so interesting hearing about different places!

And I’m obsessed with Boohoo! They are the absolute best!

Um, not really. Australia Day maybe? Most of us have barbecues and beer that day but it’s my sisters birthday the same day haha.

Me too! I did a post not to long ago with these sick front split pants and I’m working on another with the cutest shift dress ever! Boohoo is where it’s at! x
