As promised, I am updating my goals list so I can share my progress with all of you! If you missed my last post, I presented you with a list of my top five goals to accomplish during my sophomore year of college. I am about two and a half months in now, and thought this would be a great time to check in!
Buy a DSLR and learn how to use it.
So….I said this one would be done by October 13th, or three days ago. And I’ve run into a little bit of a roadblock with this one. I have the money set aside for it, but I want to buy it used or at a discount. I am bad at ebay, so I am instead waiting until I go home on the 24th to talk over how to go about this with my parents, because they are better at shopping than I am. But rest assured, this camera will be gotten very very soon!
Flying to Texas.
Well, there’s not much of an update for this one, as
if when I do this it won’t be until summer. But with the way things are going financially I don’t see any reason why I wouldn’t be able to. Which is super exciting because I have never been to Texas! If you haven’t read my to-do list, you may not know this but I plan on running a race in every state, so my biggest challenge will be finding a good race to run while I’m there!
Run or Swim everyday.
I am ashamed. I am deeply ashamed.
Finish a blanket for Chris.
Progress! This is a marathon, not a sprint. To keep myself from getting discouraged I have been sprinkling in other projects like a baby blanket for Chris’s cousin who is expecting, and boot cuffs, which I plan on selling soon!
Perfect the handstand.
While I practiced quite often, I wasn’t seeing any progress so I decided to go a different route and start taking baby steps. I can proudly say I can to a perfect headstand, and even do fancy things with my legs in the meantime. Now I am working on my forearm stand and once I have that down I will move onto the handstand!
Post once every five days.
I am actually doing pretty well on this one (ignore last week and today.) Midterms and the stress of planning a big girl adventure to Chicago definitely had me distracted, but I think I will be able to accomplish this one no problem, with a few missed gaps here and there because life happens.
Start a YouTube Channel.
As I mentioned, I am going on a big girl adventure to Chicago this weekend, and I plan on vlogging for the first time ever. Whether or not I get the courage to post it is yet to be seen, but fingers crossed! And once I get my fancy camera I really plan on buckling down and making a youtube Channel!
So, those are my updates, sorry they aren’t terribly exciting but I am making progress! Do you have any goals that you are working on?
