I’m definitely #TeamValentinesDay. I always have been, really. I am (almost pathetically) a die hard romantic, and even long before I was dating Chris, Valentines Day just meant watching romantic comedies and seeing beautiful flowers all over social media.
And that is something that I can totally get behind.
Now I will admit that Valentine’s Day is even more exciting because I get to be on the receiving end of those romantic gestures and it gives me a good excuse to dress up (something I’m always looking to do!)
Chris and I thought we were clever trying to beat the crowds and celebrated last night. Unfortunately, we weren’t the only ones.
Despite having to fight the crowds out last night, we had a wonderful time (and great food!) I was really excited to team up with ALYCE Paris to Own The Room and I was able to wear one of their amazing dresses.
Chris and I don’t get dressed up too often, so when a special occasion does roll around I’m happy to take full advantage! With plenty of sparkles and a perfect fit this ALYCE Paris dress really helped me own the room during our date night.
We went to one of our favorite spots on campus (and accidentally over indulged on appetizers before our food even came out!) and from there I somehow managed to bully Chris into watching Gossip Girl with me!
Simple date nights like that are some of my favorites, and they are made even better when I can add a touch of glamour with pieces like this ALYCE Paris. If you want to join in their #OwnTheRoom initiative with me just add a photo of you owning the room with confidence on social media using the hashtag.
I am a huge fan of their Own The Room initiative because it encourages girls and women to go forth with confidence and share the moments where they felt their very best. ALYCE Paris knows that it’s what’s on the inside that counts but they want to help young women own their confidence and wear something as unique and special as they are.
For the real Valentine’s Day today Chris and I are way low key the way we like it. So far we’ve indulged in a lot of pizza and netflix, and I have a feeling that we’ll only continue picking up momentum.
I am curious – how do you feel about Valentine’s Day? Love it or hate it? Celebrate Galentine’s Day instead? Let me know in the comments below!
