If you’ve been here for a while, you might know that living a healthy life is super important to me. Between working out and eating right I am definitely managing on my own, but I’ve felt like I’ve plateaued physically. In high school I ran cross country and track, and I had a great coach pushing me and planning intense workouts for the team. After graduation I was in charge of my own fitness regimen, and it was definitely lacking.

The running plan focuses on strength, speed, and power, assuring that you will be able to perform at your best and be strong enough to avoid injury.

There are also assessments so that you can monitor your growth – after doing to 2 mile for time I can say with certainty that I have a long ways to go before I am as fit as I was in high school, but I have doubts that if I keep following the training plan I will get there in time for the race. The app accounts for recovery days, too, which is so important. As somebody who seems to be chronically injured, listen to me when I say take your recovery days seriously! Pushing yourself is great, but don’t push yourself into an injury! The app has recovery days for a reason – use those days to stretch, eat right, and mentally prepare for your next workout.
