This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Les Mills. The opinions and text are all mine. I’m all about promoting healthy living for a happy life. I grew up very active – I ran varsity cross country and track through high school and have spent every summer of my life on the river swimming, skiing, and kneeboarding. After going away to college I fell out of my fitness routine for a few months, and while I didn’t gain the dreaded freshman fifteen, I did lose the muscle tone I had spent years developing. Fast forward to now,… View Post

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sunsweet Growers for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine. In the last few weeks I’ve been getting a true taste of self-employment. For the first time in my life I’m not in school and so there is no automatic structure to my life. Rather than following a set schedule I have been making my own rules, and that’s something that can be really dangerous. I’m not a professional, but I’d consider my knowledge to be pretty darn close. While I am selective about what I put on my hair I’m… View Post

I don’t know about you, but my skin is in some crazy limbo right now trying to adjust with the change in weather that comes along with fall. Living in Illinois, the fluctuation has been crazy: sunny and seventy five one day, dry and mid forties the next. This time of year always reeks havoc on my skin, but this year I am trying to combat that the best way I can. In a perfect world I would be able to steam, and exfoliate, and mask, and moisturize extensively each night; but personally I’m too busy for that and I suspect… View Post

It’s June! My favorite month of the year – it’s my birthday month, the first month of summer, and the weather is absolutely beautiful! But after how incredible May was, I am almost sad to see it go. May brought a ton of happiness through coming home for the summer, spending time with my favorite babies, and catching up with everyone! In addition May brought me some some exciting news (that will be shared soon!) and I broke some blogging records, too! With all of my free time in the summer I thought that it would be a great idea… View Post
