I am going to be talking a lot about my move to New York in coming posts because, really, how could I not? My life has definitely taken an unexpected (and exciting!) turn, and every post idea I’ve brainstormed up as of late has something to do with the move. Today I’ve teamed up with Dove to talk about 6 things nobody warned me about before moving to the city. I was told all about spotting Craigslist scams and finding the best food (there are vegetarian restaurants as far as the eye can see, y’all!), but there were a lot of important things… View Post

Life has been moving really fast lately – I feel like I’m constantly moving a million miles a minute and I really haven’t been able to take time to slow down. I keep telling myself I need to start breathing and taking time for myself – and then I dream up another big project. While I’m all about dreaming and doing, there is something to be said for knowing when enough is enough and taking a break. I’ve been making a lot of changes lately and one more change I want to make is spending more time doing things I love and relaxing.  I teamed up… View Post

I’m definitely #TeamValentinesDay. I always have been, really. I am (almost pathetically) a die hard romantic, and even long before I was dating Chris, Valentines Day just meant watching romantic comedies and seeing beautiful flowers all over social media. Chris and I thought we were clever trying to beat the crowds and celebrated… View Post

Thanks Lady R and Blogger Babes for partnering with me on this post! Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! I’m taking this Christmas Eve easy as I’m home bound with the stomach flu, but I thought I would still share some of my family’s Christmas Traditions and what would have been my Christmas Eve style should I be well enough to celebrate. Since I was little my family would go to my Grandma and Grandpa’s every year to open a few presents before the big Christmas gathering at my house, and in recent years I’ve been going from my grandparent’s to my boyfriend’s… View Post

If you’ve visited here before you might know my love for all things winter fashion. I’m all about layers and boots and feeling cozy, but even more than I love winter fashion, I love holiday fashion. My family and friends celebrate Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Years with good food and good company and I’m already counting down the days until I’m reconnected with my favorite people for our annual festivities. For a lot of people, holiday parties mean sequined frocks and shimmering dresses, but lets be honest, my friend’s and I have celebrations that are a little more low key than that. A good portion… View Post
